Dejah Banks Black, or Anita Miller-Banks as she was known when she wasn't on stage, has passed away from COVID-19.

Officials said Ms. Black brought love, kindness, creativity, and incredible heart to all she did and everyone she knew. She performed on the Barking Legs stage at open mic nights, competed in pageants, and could often be found backstage helping other performers with costuming, hair, and makeup.

She had been an avid supporter of so many performers, drag artists, pageant contestants, causes, and fundraisers at Barking Legs and throughout Chattanooga that we could not begin to list them all

Her husband, Cliff Banks aka Warren Peace, is also a beloved member of the performing arts community.
