Marilyn Sue Evans, 71, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 9, 2020. She was a resident of the area for over 40 years and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her beloved grandkids and great-grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Frances Nelson; and brother, Bill Nelson.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 54 years, Bill Evans; children, Tracie Evans (Scott) Sutton and Lance (Gina) Evans; siblings, Shirley Murrell and Caroline Graham; grandchildren, Brittany, Tanner, Reid and Dalton; two step-grandchildren, Berit and Holland; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering on Sunday, Sept. 13 from 1-4 p.m. at Companion Funeral Home, 2415 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the United Way of Bradley County in Marilyn’s honor.
