Robert "Bob" John Kozloski, Sr., 82, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, passed peacefully on January 11, 2021.

 

He was a loving and devoted husband and best friend to his wife, Rosalie (Mazzanti), for over 59 years. He met Rosalie in middle school, they married in Pennsylvania, and have made their home in the Chattanooga area since 1984. Bob was born on November 14, 1938, in Plains, Pa., to Jennie and Peter Kozloski, Sr., and is survived by his brother, Peter (Carole) Kozloski, Jr., Southport, NC.

 

He attended Scranton University and proudly served as an artillery officer in the Pennsylvania National Guard. Bob spent his professional career in the furniture industry and retired as the National Vice President of Sales for Jackson Furniture Catnapper of Cleveland, Tn.; he maintained life-long friendships with his colleagues. Bob’s favorite pastime was going for long drives in the mountains. After his retirement, he and Rosalie spent months driving across the country and visiting National Parks.

 

Family was always very important to Bob. He is lovingly remembered by his children Katherine (Peter) Wiernicki, Annapolis, MD; Robert (Traci) Kozloski, II, Chattanooga, TN; Richard (Laura) Kozloski, Tokyo, Japan and Newport Coast, CA; and James Kozloski (Pamela Governale), New Fairfield, CT. He will forever be fun-loving Pop Pop to his grandchildren Caitlin Wiernicki and Caroline Wiernicki, Rockville, MD; Robert Kozloski, III, Buckhead, GA; Gabe (Ginger) Thomas, Chattanooga, TN; Richard Kozloski, Jr., Irvine, CA; Janel Kozloski, New York, NY; Colton Kozloski, Tokyo, Japan and Newport Coast, CA; Jake Kozloski, Charleston, SC; Stella Kozloski, Coventry, CT; Roman Kozloski, Anna Kozloski and Izzy Kozloski, New Fairfield, CT; and great-grandchildren Harper Thomas and Izzy Thomas, Chattanooga, TN. 

 

Funeral services will be held at a later date at St. Jude Catholic Church in Chattanooga. 

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Wounded Warrior Project.
