Ardrise “A.C.” Collins, 71, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, in a local hospital.  

He was born June 7, 1949 to the late Ardrise Collins, Sr and Mildred Finley.  He retired from the U.S. Army after serving 20 years.  Ardrise was employed for 20 years with the U.S. Postal Service. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; two siblings; nieces; and nephews. 

Survivors include his devoted wife of 52 years, Delane Renee Collins; three daughters, Sheikqulla McCleary, Ardrika (Steven) Pendergrass, and Rajeeni Collins; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three sisters; three brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; a host of loving and caring nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. 

Ardrise will lie in state on Monday, Feb. 1, from 12:30-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. 

Family services will be on Tuesday, Feb. 2, at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel with Apostle Williams McGhee as the eulogist.  Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
