Franklin Delano Guthrie, 84, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 in a local hospital. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Guthrie; parents, Toney A. Guthrie and Mary M. (Cavener) Guthrie; siblings, Netta Dellavinia Guthrie, Ruth Inez Guthrie, Madison Eugene Guthrie, Phyllis Albadine Guthrie, Mary Neille Guthrie, Carter Poe Guthrie, William Fay Guthrie, Samuel Andrew Guthrie and Leon Cavener Guthrie; and his granddaughter, Catie Ann Guthrie.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his only son, Newton Guthrie and wife, Jennifer Guthrie; grandchildren, Heather Guthrie, Conner Guthrie, Colton Guthrie and Cody Guthrie; brother, Bruce Albert Guthrie; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
The Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home, with Pastor Steve Corbin officiating. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
His family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.
The family requests that memorials be made to Cloverleaf Baptist Church, 2290 Waterlevel Hwy., Cleveland Tn. 37311.
