Georgia Has 170 More Coronavirus Deaths And 5,490 New Cases

Georgia state health officials reported on Tuesday there have been 170 additional deaths due to the coronavirus. The current total is 23,512.

There are 5,490 new cases on Tuesday, as that total reaches 1,246,100 confirmed cases of coronavirus.

Hospitalizations are at 83,205, which is an increase of 639 from Monday.

Here are the numbers by county:

Catoosa County: 8,162 cases, up 57; 83 deaths, up 2; 289 hospitalizations

Chattooga County: 3,615 cases, up 20; 86 deaths; 240 hospitalizations

Dade County: 1,765 cases, up 12; 16 deaths; 67 hospitalizations, up 1

Walker County: 9,310 cases, up 53; 108 deaths, up 1; 343 hospitalizations, up 1

Whitfield County: 18,931 cases, up 61; 301 deaths, up 2; 886 hospitalizations, up 2
