Minister Mary Janetta Coppage
Minister Mary Janetta Coppage, age 66, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021.
She was born Sept. 28, 1955 to the late Lucy Neal Grant and Larry Coppage. She was a faithful member of True Gospel Pentecostal Church as their church administrator, Sunday School teacher, and the former president of the Women’s Auxillary. She graduated from Dalton High School Class of 1973. Minister Mary Coppage was a member of the Woman’s Community Club and Church Women United.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers, James Neal and Brent Coppage; two sisters, Brenda K. and Linda Faye McHenry; nephew, Samithy McHenry; and niece, Tahra LaTisha Neal.
Survivors are her loving and devoted family, sisters, Elder Miriam (Bishop Craig) Pender of Anderson, South Carolina, Wanda (Kevin) Thornton of Dalton, Georgia, Renee (Constantine) Barnes, Kendra (Charles) Hill of Louisiana; brothers, Charles (Debra) Neal of Dalton, Apostle Joseph McHenry of Miami, Florida, Wayne McHenry of Atlanta, Georgia, Pastor Korey (Ronisha) Coppage of Alexandria, Louisiana, Stanley Harris of Dalton; stepmother, Ann Coppage of Louisiana; uncle, David (Dianne) Arnold of Dalton; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives; special friends, Mae Marrow, Fina Montgomery; two spiritual daughters, Alexis Washington, Lena Williams; and other friends.
A homegoing celebration will be held Saturday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m. at True Gospel Pentecostal Church, 109 Henderson St., Dalton, Georgia, 30721 with Bishop Reuben Graham as eulogist, Elder Kenneth Cooper as presider, and other ministers officiating.
Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Friday after noon and at the church one hour before the service.
Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery.
