Anna Roach
Anna Ruth Roach, 92, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021.
Ruth was born to the late Henry and Stacy Yoakum. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Winston S. Roach and grandson, Kevin Roach.
She attended school at La Follette High School. Ruth was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She also loved spending time outdoors, whether she was on her front porch or vacations on the lake. Ruth was a multiple year ribbon winner at the County Fair for her pickles. She also loved to bowl with the Wednesday Morning Coffee League.
Ruth was a member of Tyner United Methodist Church and was involved in the Pennington Sunday School Class, the United Methodist Women, TOTS (Tireless Ones of Tyner) and SOLOS (singles church group).
Survivors include her children, Myron Roach of Ringgold, Barry ( Sarah) Roach of Ooltewah, Mike (Denise) Roach of Chattanooga, Anna ( Franz) Cook of Signal Mountain; grandchildren, George and David Roach, Kelly ( Mark) Helton, Casey Roach and fiancé, Cassy Reccord, Jenifer and Constance Duncan, Justin “AJ” (Emily) Cook; great-grandkids, Matthew and Eric Roach, Teagan and Lincoln Helton, Aiden and Maddox Roach and Lucas Bourne.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 11, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12, in the funeral home with Pastor Charlie Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tyner United Methodist, 6805 Standifer Gap Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
