Moises Solis Hernandez, 87, of Hixson, Tennessee, died on November 7, 2020, in his hometown of Santa Maria, Michoacán, Mexico.
 
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Maria Solis; parents, Procopio and Felisa Hernandez; sisters, Augustina and Maria Luisa.

Moises always had a gentle, humble heart and was always ready to help anyone in any type of need. He was a great man of many skills which includes, carpentry, gardening and "playing" his beloved violin. He enjoyed spending time with his only two grandsons - Adrian and Sam.

Survivors include daughter, Mariquita Solis-Ocaña; son, Moisito Solis-Ocaña, both of Marietta, Georgia; daughter, Lupita (Rudy) Márquez of Hixson and grandsons, Adrian and Samuel.

He was a parishioner of St. Jude Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass in his memory will be offered at St. Jude on Saturday, Nov. 6, at 11 a.m. and will be celebrated by Fr. Charlie Burton.
