A Matter of Balance is a virtual 9-session series for older adults. Participants can choose from three series beginning on Jan. 11 (Tuesdays & Thursdays), 24 (Mondays & Wednesdays) or 31 (Mondays & Wednesdays). The program consists of discussion about falls and problem solving to prevent them. Seated exercises are introduced in the fourth session.

Class participants will join the class by Zoom using a tablet, laptop or desktop computer with camera and microphone. If necessary, a smartphone with a camera can be used. Participants will receive a workbook and a gift bag upon completion of the nine sessions.

Virtual Tai Chi for Arthritis/Fall Prevention classes will be offered on Mondays & Wednesdays beginning Jan. 24. Choose from eight-session series: 1-2 p.m., 4:30-5:30 p.m. or 6-7 p.m.

The new Extension Health & Wellness Volunteer program will train community volunteers to plan and conduct programs in Hamilton County. Participants will receive 40 hours of training on Tuesdays beginning Feb. 1 from 10 a.m.-noon. Trainings can be viewed at home or the Hamilton County Extension office.
