Ellis Jones
Ellis Lebron Jones, Sr., 59, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021, in a local hospital.
He was a 1980 graduate of Kirkman High School and attended Chattanooga State. Ellis was a veteran of the United States Navy and was formerly employed with RHA Health Services.
Survivors include his sons, Ellis Jones, Jr. and Samuel Jones; daughters, Eva Jones, Elisabeth Jones, Kezia Jones, Rachel Jones, and Hannah Jones; two grandchildren; father, Matthew Jones, Sr.; mother, Mary Jones Grace; brothers, Matthew Jones, Jr. and Gerald Jones, all of Chattanooga; a host of other relatives and friends.
Ellis will lie in state on Monday, Dec. 6, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Ronald B. Cook, Sr. as the eulogist.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
