Edith Meyers Daugherty, 84, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021.

Edith taught at Trinity Christian School and was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. She followed her husband on his military journey which took her to many places here in the United States as well as England and Japan. And she lived her life joyfully serving her Lord and others as a K4 teacher, daycare worker and supervisor, nursing home worker and activities director. But her greatest joy came from being a wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, sister; and husband of 55 years, Kenneth; and her two daughters, Kenda & Diana.

Survivors include her sister, Nancy of Louisville, KY; and her two sons, Donald of Charleston, SC; Darald of Clanton, Alabama and her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 25, in Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Bill Bond officiating. Interment will be in National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
