Gloria Ann Wilson Condra, 70, left this world on March 29, 2021, for her heavenly home.
In her early days she resided on Sweetland Drive in Chattanooga. During her working years she resided in Spring Valley. Gloria taught school at Orange Grove, Ooltewah High School, Brown Middle School, Red Bank High School, Marion County Middle School and Griffith Elementary.
Ms. Condra was preceded in death by her parents, John B. Wilson and Margret Wilson Hokett. She is survived by her spouse of 46 years, Tom E. Condra; cousins, B. B. Nixon, Marla Nixon, Jan (Richard) Lindsey, Anna Lindsey, Theresa and Ann Pelfrey; and god son, Rich (Cassandra) Lindsey.
Ms. Condra was born in Chattanooga, on April 4, 1950, where she lived, worked and worshipped her entire life. Gloria taught school for 35 years before retiring. Gloria attended Red Bank High School and played in the marching band. Gloria received her BS and master's degrees from UTC. Gloria was in the first teacher group to achieve Hamilton County, Career Ladder Level III Certification.
Ms. Condra was a Christian, faithfully loving our Lord. She was a long-time member of the Church of Christ. In her early days she attended and was baptized at the White Oak Church of Christ (Chattanooga), attended the Brainerd Church of Christ, the last 45 years attending the Central Church of Christ.
The family of Gloria would like to thank the Memorial CHI MICU unit nurses, doctors, and support staff for the wonderful caring attention provided Gloria.
The ministers conducting the funeral services for Gloria are: David Schonhoff, Minister, of Central Church of Christ, song service will be conducted by Craig Allison, Song Leader, Central Church of Christ. Pallbearers will be Trent Strickland, Ben, James, Alex, Ross and Garrett Condra.
The family will receive friends from 3–7 p.m. on Thursday and 4–8 p.m. on Friday, April 2, at the funeral home.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 3, at the funeral home.
