Hamilton County Has No New COVID Deaths, 77 New Cases; Tennessee Has 1,445 New Cases, 33 More COVID Deaths

Hamilton County reported 77 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, with 52 patients hospitalized and 12 in Intensive Care Units. Seven others were in the hospital with suspected COVID. Of those hospitalized, 13 are county residents.

The new total of cases in Hamilton County is 40,920.

There were no more deaths from the virus in the county reported since Thursday, leaving the total at 466.  

The number of those who have recovered from coronavirus in Hamilton County is 39,561, which is 97 percent, and there are 893 active cases. 

The number of coronavirus cases in Tennessee is at 780,894 on Friday with 1,445 new cases. There have been 33 more deaths from the virus, for a total of 11,534, state Health Department officials said.

The state currently has 821 people hospitalized from the virus, 44 fewer than Thursday.

Testing numbers are above 6.856 million across the state. 

The number of people who have recovered from coronavirus in Tennessee is 755,474, 97 percent.

Bradley County:  13,039 cases, up 43; 141 deaths

Grundy County: 1,701 cases, up 4; 30 deaths

Marion County: 2,952 cases, up 5; 45 deaths, up 1

Meigs County: 1,269 cases, up 2; 23 deaths, up 2

Polk County: 1,787 cases, up 10; 22 deaths

Rhea County: 4,153 cases, up 1; 73 deaths

Sequatchie County: 1,572 cases, down 1; 27 deaths

Knox County: 46,346 cases, up 96; 589 deaths, up 2

Davidson County: 81,978 cases, up 169; 873 deaths, up 2

Shelby County: 87,755 cases, up 137; 1,513 deaths, up 4
