Paul Kendall “Jackie” Kerr, 73, of East Ridge, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021, at his home.  
 
He was born on June 8, 1947.
 
Mr. Kerr was a longtime member of Silverdale Baptist Church and was an avid deer and turkey hunter.  Jackie loved music and young people.  He was the director of the Dizzy Dean Baseball Hall of Fame.  His favorite personal saying was “If I can help just one.”  
 
He was a United States Air Force veteran.  
 
His son, Derek Kerr and parents, William and Edna Kerr preceded him in death.
 
Jackie was a loving husband and father and is survived by wife of 33 years, Mary Ethel Kerr; sons, Daren (Melanie) Kerr and Dustin Kerr both of Sweetwater, Tn.; stepsons, Kevin (Victoria) Nelson and Chris (Abby) Nelson both of Chattanooga; brother, Gary (Rhadonna) Kerr of Ringgold; sister, Barbara Blanchard of Charleston, South Carolina; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
 
Private graveside services will be in Tyner Cemetery with Pastor Christopher Sheets officiating.  
 
Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 South Moore Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37412.
