Col. Glendon C. Fleming, 83, of Ringgold, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 3, 2021.

He was born on April 13, 1937, to the late Cornelius Hunt and Alene (Andrews) Fleming

Glendon graduated from Isaac Litton High School and from Vanderbilt University in mechanical engineering. He worked at DuPont Corporation in Old Hickory and Chattanooga.

Glendon proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps, retiring at the rank of Colonel.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patsey (Pettey); son, Barry Fleming; daughter, Glenda Fleming; and grandchild, Callie Fleming Renner (Chris).

A funeral service for Glendon will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Gibson and Rev. Darrell Craft officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.

The family requests that contributions be made to Brainerd Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.

The Brainerd Baptist Fellowship Class serve as honorable pallbearers.
