Evelyn Willis
Evelyn Louise “Miss E” Brown Willis, 82, passed away on June 6, 2021.
She was born on April 1, 1939, to Harry Brown and Frankie McClure. She attended Howard High School. Evelyn worked for Memorial Hospital in Housekeeping and retired after 37 years. She attended First Baptist of Bozentown, now New First Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Vernon Willis; daughter, Joann Shockley.
She leaves to cherish her memory daughter, Vivian (Richard) Wright; sons, Victor Willis, Samuel Gooden, Jr., Atlanta; 2 faithful grandchildren, Mequel (Rachquel) Logan, Terrance Wright; two great grandchildren, Jayden, Kyree, who kept her laughing. She also leaves six other grandchildren, Victor, Trea, Vernon, Veon, Victoria, Jada; 3 other great grandchildren; faithful friends, Walt, Miss Mary, Tonya, Lila, Denise; a host of other family and friends.
Public viewing will be from 2–6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, at the funeral home.
A funeral service will be held at noon on Thursday, June 17, in the chapel.
Interment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
