Elizabeth "Liz" Vineyard Wright, 90, of Ringgold, Georgia, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, surrounded by her family.

 

Born on July 21, 1930, in Sweetwater, Tn., to the late Preston and Sophia Vineyard, Liz has been a longtime resident of the Chattanooga and Ringgold area.

 

She was former owner and operator of The Beauty Nook Salon in East Ridge for many years.

 

Liz was a longtime member at Temple Baptist Church and later with Harmony Baptist Church and New Haven Baptist Church.

 

For over 25 years Liz has served as an Ambassador and Hair Stylist with the East Brainerd Chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Liz will be remembered for her beautiful smile, compassion, and kindness she has given to so many families at Heritage.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Wright;  son, Randy Wright;  three brothers and four sisters.

 

Liz is survived by her daughter, Diana Benson, Ringgold;  son, Alan (Sabina) Wright, Collegedale;  grandsons, Randall Neil (Shannon) Wright, Ringgold and Shawn Wright, both of Ringgold; five great-grandsons, William, Matthew, Mason, Peyton and Preston Wright; many nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 19, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Curtis Ottinger officiating. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 21, at 11 a.m. at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South with William Wright, Matthew Wright, Don Burlingham, Collin Hamrick, Ryan Price, and Dean Gentry serving as pallbearers.

 

The staff of Heritage Funeral Home will serve as honorary pallbearers.
