Christopher Logan Jarvis was born on September 5, 1996, and passed away at home on a peaceful Friday night, July 16, 2021.  An accident ended his battle with addiction, following the happiest of days spent with his family.

Logan graduated from CCS in 2014 and attended courses at both Chattanooga State and UTC. He was also a self-taught musician and enjoyed playing the guitar and banjo. Logan cared deeply for those around him and accepted them for who they were. Choosing to see the good in people always drove him to fight for the underdog.

Logan had many beloved pets over the years, including Sam, Gizmo, and Daphne; and loved his current family of pets that included Raven, Clover, Espurr, and Lenny.  He was blessed with a bounty of cousins who were more like siblings. Logan could always be found goofing around with his cousins and friends at holiday gatherings or dancing with his Mom during family vacations.

Logan enjoyed movies with his Mom and exploring the universe of comic books with his Dad.  As an only child, his Dad was his best friend and his Mom was his closest confidant.  The Jarvis household was full of laughter in the best of times, unwavering support in the difficult times, listening ears, open arms, full hearts, shared passions, and love...always love.

In the words of Phoenix from X-Men, “We come into the world alone, and we leave the same way. The time we spend in between - time spent alive, sharing, learning together - makes life worth living.”

The ever burning torch of Logan’s Light is carried on by his parents, Don and Lisa Jarvis, grandparents Don and Mary Jarvis, and aunts Sybil (David), Kathy, & Deborah (Terry).  Logan will join in heaven those that preceded him, his grandparents Durwood and Virginia Rogers, and uncles Virgil & Randy.

Visitation and a memorial service will be at Hamilton Funeral Home, 4506 Hixson Pike, Hixson, Tn. 37343, on Wednesday, July 21. Visitation will be from 4-5:30 p.m., immediately followed by a Memorial Service, starting at 5:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hamilton County Humane Society in Logan’s honor.

Arrangements are by Hamilton Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 4506 Hixson Pike, Hixson, 423 531-3975.
