Unfortunately for me, I needed a medical procedure performed a few days ago. The doctor performing the procedure does these procedures through Memorial Hospital.
The medical staff and nurses that prepared, assisted and helped me afterwards were wonderful. Very professional and courteous. I was well cared for.
I realized that in a little over a month, I would not be able to go there again if needed.
BCBS, get your act together and resolve this.

These two excellent institutions are currently in the process of negotiating their contract for payment of services for 2022. I kind of have two dogs in this fight as my wife and I have served as volunteers at Memorial for five years and have our Medicare Advantage through BC/BS.
I can tell you from experience that both of these institutions are absolutely dedicated to providing the best medical care at the most reasonable price to members of our community. Both are non-profit organizations working in the best interests of their patients(Memorial) and policy holders(BC/BS).
I'm glad Tim Massey got wonderful care at Memorial. Just to set the record straight Tim, even if the two parties don't reach agreement by Sept. 1, Memorial has already announced they will continue your coverage through the end of the year.
Also Tim seems to to be privy to the negotiations as he requests BC/BS to get their act together.
Unlike Tim, I have no doubt CHI Memorial and BC/BC will reach a settlement that is fair and equitable for all parties.
