Donald Ray Harvey, age 79 of Dayton Mountain, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Rhea Medical Center in Dayton.

He was born in Hamilton County on July 24, 1942, the son of the late Arlen and Sylvia Harvey. 

He graduated from Sale Creek High School, was a welder at TVA and Aztec, and lived on Dayton Mountain for the last 30 years. Taking care of his cattle, playing the guitar, and playing with his dog, Sonny Bob, were his passions. He was a Jehovah’s Witness. 

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Florella (Mears) Harvey; his daughter Donna Jackson; his four grandsons, Ray Fuson, Nicholas Fuson, Ducky Elser, and Travis Fuson; his four granddaughters, Emma (James) Wilson, Abby Fuson, Rissy Jackson, and Robin Fuson, all of Dayton Mountain. He is also survived by his brother Ervin (Shirley) Harvey of Soddy Daisy. 

Funeral services for Donald will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
