Barbara Davis was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the union of John Henry and Mamie Harrison on December 20, 1943.  She departed this life on January 13, 2022. 

Barbara was a member of Olivet Baptist Church. She attended City School and Second District. Barbara enjoyed attending church.  

At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ and was then baptized. She was a woman who had a strong faith and loved the Lord. Barbara enjoyed riding around the city sightseeing. She loved to shop at some of her favorite stores. She loved her flowers, being around family and friends. Her greatest joy was her grandkids and acting silly with them. She had a laugh and smile that was infectious! 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Daniel Lee Davis; three sisters, Louise Stephens, Juanita Anderson, and Edna Moorer; two brothers, John Henry Harrison, Jr., and Ervin Harrison.  

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Brenda Davis and Charlotte Davis; son, Claude Davis; grandkids, LaShundra Davis, Lakisha Davis-Hooker, Michael Davis, Randy Word, Jr., Dee Davis, Ashley Davis, Tyrus Hayward, DeJuan Davis, Keandre Davis, and Jayden Davis; brother, Raymond Harrison; devoted nieces, Jacquline Daniels, Marlena Moorer, Betty Ray, Melvina Lee, Shedesha Hudson; nephews, Sgt. James Moorer and Johnny Harrison; 12 great-grandkids; sisters-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and devoted friends. 

Public viewing will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 20, at the funeral home, followed by a 1 p.m. funeral service. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
