Malcolm Pickle
Malcolm Andrew Pickle was born March 27, 1934, in Berryton, Georgia. He passed away on January 16, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga.
He was a retired diesel mechanic from C&J Truck Leasing. Malcolm loved playing gospel music and played bass guitar in numerous groups over the last 40 plus years. Groups include: The Corinthians, River City Quartet, Seven Romans, Gospel Brass and Kings Messengers. He also played at several local churches.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Nellie Pickle; brother, Elmer Pickle; and sisters, Lerlene Gilliland and Opal Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ramona Pickle; son, Malcolm G. (Kitten) Pickle of LaFayette; daughters, Emily (Sam) Duncan of Lakeland, Fla., and Regis Davis (friend Lonnie Johnson) of Fort Oglethorpe; grandson, Malcolm BB Pickle (Brandy); great grandson, Breck Pickle all of LaFayette; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2022, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Josh Edwards officiating.
Interment at LaFayette City Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Malcom B. Pickle, Wayne Gilliland, Bill Pickle, Thomas E. Pickle, Larry Timmons, and Aaron Green.
Honorary pallbearers are Charles Sizemore, Randy Croy, Leon Lewis, Allen Young, Bruce Husky, Jim Pettigrew, Eddie Wilson, Rusty Smitherman, Joe Cauthen, Marvin Pickle, Buster Rogers, Stacy Snyder, Tony Snider, Tommy Snider, Joel Cagle, Mike Snider, and Starlin Snyder.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12 p.m. until service hour.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
