Edna Jo Bettis, 102, of Lookout Mountain, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 21, 2022 at her home.
Mrs. Bettis was born on Nov. 28, 1919 in Rome, Georgia to the late Charlie & Leila Brown, and had spent most of her life in the Birmingham and Chattanooga areas. She attended the Red Bank Cumberland Presbyterian Church and enjoyed bowling and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her son, Raymond Powers, in November of 2021, and seven siblings.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Bobbie J. Powers, of Lookout Mountain; grandsons, Eric (Laura) Powers and Henry “Hank” (Brecca) Powers; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 29 at noon in the Chapel of Devotion at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Melissa Spires officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
