The Salvation Army Calls On The Community To “Fill A Backpack” And “Stuff A Stocking”

  • Tuesday, October 25, 2022

The Salvation Army has backpacks and stockings ready for pick up by members of the community for the annual “Fill a Backpack” and “Stuff a Stocking” holiday projects.

The “Fill a Backpack” project serves the community’s unsheltered, and the “Stuff a Stocking” project helps senior citizens, bringing them Christmas cheer during the holiday season.

Empty backpacks and stockings are available at the Chattanooga Area Command office to be picked up and filled by members of the community. Empty stockings can also be picked up at the Northgate and Hamilton Place malls.

Once the backpacks and stockings are full, The Salvation Army asks that donors drop them back off by the date listed. The Wish Lists for both projects are available at the Area Command office.
