Charles Ashley, Jr., 88, of Evensville, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022, at Spring City Care and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born on March 21, 1934, in Hixson, the son of the late Charles Ashley Sr. and Carrie (Connealious) Ashley.
Charles lived on Evensville Mountain since 1982 and was a retired operator at DuPont. He served his country in the US Army, loved hunting and fishing, and was a member of Grandview Baptist Church.
Charles is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy (Hixson) Ashley of Evensville Mountain; his three sons, Gary (Shannon) Ashley, David (Beverly) Ashley, and Jeff Ashley, all of Evensville Mountain; his brother, Donnie Ashley of Evensville Mountain; his sister, Betty Jo (Norman) Smith of Spring City, and his four grandchildren.
Charles will be laid to rest with military honors at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
