Estella Stamps
Estella Ragland Stamps, 98, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022, at her residence.
She was a member of Thompkin Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, where she was on the Deaconess and Usher Board.
Estella was preceded in death by her husband, James Stamps; parents, Nathaniel and Edna Ragland; brothers, Jack Ragland and James Ragland; sisters, Willie Ragland, Pearl Green, and Sarah Twymon.
Survivors include her daughters, Yolander James of Anniston, AL and Sarah Caver of Oxford, AL; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Estella will lie in state on Friday, Dec. 9, from 12:30-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, Dec. 10, at noon at Cleage’s Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church with Reverend Dr. Richard Gadzekpo as the eulogist. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
