U.S. Army Veteran Retired From Olan Mills

Jimmy Reed Berry, of Hixson, Tennessee, was born on May 23, 1944, and passed away peacefully at home, February 22, 2022.

 

He was a member of the United States Army, was a HAM radio operator, retired from Olan Mills, and was a member of Brooks Memorial United Methodist Church. He loved to travel, cook, and spend time with his family. 

 

Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Berry, parents, Ola Reed and Mildred Ashley Berry, and his brother-in-law, Gary Goshorn. 

 

He is survived by his brother, Ray Berry, two sisters, Jean Goshorn, and Sandy (Glenn) Kilgore, his stepson, Andy (Janet) Parrella, granddaughter, Nicole Parrella, many nieces and nephews, and loving dog, Candy. 

 

There will be a memorial service on Sunday, Feb. 27, at Brooks Memorial United Methodist Church at 3 p.m., with Pastor Laura Trent officiating.
