Sherry Dillard Sons, 64, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 28, 2022.

Born and raised in Chattanooga, Sherry was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving and dedicated wife, daughter, mother and grandmother, and she was a loyal friend. She loved to share her smile and laughter with everyone she met.

Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Claude E. Dillard; stepfather, James “Bud” Dove; and many other family members whom she cherished and loved.

She is survived by her mother, Eva L. Dove; husband, Phillip S. Sons; daughter and son-in-law, Kelley (York) and Bubba Carter; granddaughter, Anna Kate Carter, stepdaughter, Britney Sons; grandson, Micah Keen, and many special friends and family members.

There will be a private graveside service at Lakewood Memory Gardens East with Pastor Bill Mason and Jeremy Cain officiating.

The family would like to thank the ALS Foundation, Hospice of Chattanooga and Memorial Hospital for the exceptional care and compassion they showed through this time.
