Alvin Ragsdale
Alvin Paris Ragsdale, 77, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022, in a local hospital surrounded by family.
He was born to William Twymon Ragsdale Sr. and Geneva Ragsdale on February 5, 1945. He graduated from Howard High School as Class of 1963. Alvin retired from the Chattanooga Golf and Country Club in 2011. He attended the Lookout Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses since 1973.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Daryal Ragsdale; his siblings, Jacqueline Thomas, Thomas “Peanut” Williams, William "Billy" Ragsdale Jr., Ruthie Dollison, Carl Ragsdale, and Robert “Gene” Ragsdale.
Survivors include sons, Alvin Renard (LaVerne) Ragsdale, Michael (LaTonya) Smith, Allan (Celena) Ragsdale, Ronald Ragsdale, and Marcus Ragsdale, Sr.; daughters, Danese (Michael) Harper and Jacqueline Ragsdale; his brother, Michael Lebron Williams of Chattanooga; sisters, Theresa Patterson of Vero Beach, Fl., Carolyn Moore of Arlington, Tn., and Yvonne Barrett of LaVergne, Tn.; brother-in-law, Malik Abdullah; a host grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
A family hour will be on Friday, March 18, from 2-4 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
There will be no service.
