Carlos Lebron Hood, Jr., 53, a beloved father, husband, grandfather and friend, passed suddenly March 19, 2022. 

 

Carlos was a lifelong resident of Tennessee and of the Baptist faith.  He was an outstanding athlete and worked tirelessly to instill the same competitive spirit in his children. He also loved to root for the Crimson Tide on Saturday afternoons, listen to music, and tinker with cars.

 

Carlos was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristin Marie Hood, and his father, Carlos Lebron Hood, Sr.

 

He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 26 years, Gwen Hood; sons, Jakob (Madison) Hood and Dustin (Ashley) Ohlman, both of Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Hilary (Stewart) Beaumont of Tennessee; five grandchildren that he adored, Gavin, Elliot, Emilia, Liam, and Lilli; mother, Sharon Hood; brother, Joey Hood, and sisters, Tammy Babb, Angie Moore, and Beth Hood.


The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 3-7 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home at Highway 58.  A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022 at 11 a.m. at New McDonald (Eastview) Cemetery.
