I Enjoyed My Time At Hullco - And Response (3)

  • Saturday, April 23, 2022

I don't live in Hamilton County, but I felt the need to correct some blatant lies.

I worked for Hullco, and enjoyed my time there.  Matt and Jenny Hullander treated everyone well and
cared for all of us.  We even had a core value at our company that was "employee whole life success."

Matt was always inquiring about our families and what he could do to "make it better" for all of us.  Matt viewed and treated everyone more as friends than employees.

While I was employed at Hullco, we won an award through Times Free Press as one of the best places to work in Chattanooga.

I had numerous co-workers with ten plus years of experience working there.  You don't win awards and have long term employees unless you are treating them well.

I left Hullco for a career change before the sale, but maintained several close friends that were actively employed.

The statement that everyone was laid off when the company sold is an absolute bold faced lie. Every employee at Hullco kept their jobs. I know that Matt would not proceed with the sale unless he was given that assurance from the buyers.

I and many of my prior friends and coworkers are highly offended and angry over the immature and vicious lies being circulated.

I 100 percent agree with Kevin and I too enjoyed my time at Hullco.

I worked for Matt for seven years at Hullco and it was the most positive work environment that I have ever been apart of.  Matt’s door was always open and he created a family-style work environment that produced a great place to work and life long friendships.

I know politics is all about misinformation these days but, when we were acquired by West Shore the first slide in the Welcome to West Shore presentation said, “Everyone in this room has a job.”  So any claim that we were all left without work is simply incorrect.

I joined Hullco in February 2008, months after Matt purchased the business from Bill. I led our sales and marketing efforts. As a member of leadership I worked closely with Matt and he always fostered an environment of autonomy and latitude to always do what’s right.

At Hullco employee culture was vital, and customer experience was paramount.

The recent claims about legal issues and Matt “firing” employees is bogus.

I spent over 10 years working with Matt and I believe my perspective can offer more insight than the fake headlines delivered in the mail.

I went to work for Matt at Hullco in the summer of 2010 and have to say it was one of the best experiences I have had in my career.  Everyone was treated with respect and we all considered each other family. I was employed as the Production Manager and after being there 1 week  Matt came to me and said he needed to travel out of town to a peer group meeting.

I was new to the window and door business and relied on Matt for advice and training and I will always remember the last thing he told me before he left was, “If I needed to make a decision, make a Christian decision.”  That sent shockwaves through me, and I knew I had found a home in Hullco.

During my seven years working with Matt I we constantly looked for way to Make It Better for our customers and employees.   Whenever we had an issue with a customer job we ALWAYS made the christian decision to satisfy our customers.

Matt insisted on making it Right for every customer.  To this date I continue to use the core values Matt taught me at Hullco.  Matt Hullander is the most ethical, caring business man I know, he is a leader, a leader that will take Hamilton County into the future.  Matt is a leader you can trust to make the Christian Decisions.  Vote for Matt.
