Price, Mary O'Leta Lewis (Dalton)

Mary O’Leta (Lewis) Price, of Dalton, Georgia, the daughter of the late Hibert and Essie Lewis of Benton, Tn., passed away at her son's Chattanooga home on May 9, 2022 at the age of 91.

Mrs. Price was a school bookkeeper and secretary at Tennessee’s Polk County High School, Eastbrook High School, North Whitfield High School and Northwest High School. A wife, mother and grandmother, Mrs. Price had a 71 year love affair with her late husband, Harold J. Price of Dalton, Ga.

Mrs. Price is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Renee Price of Chattanooga, Tennessee; granddaughter, Mary Catherine Price of Woodstock, Georgia; step-grandchildren, Jake Espinosa and Emily Espinosa of Chattanooga, Tennessee, along with several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Mary O’Leta (Lewis) Price will be held Wednesday, May 18, at 12 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Dr. Danny Cochran officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Wednesday. Interment will follow in the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations, in her name, to the Alzheimer’s Association.

The family request everyone that has not been vaccinated wear a mask to help protect the elderly family and friends who are to attending the service.
