Tornado Defeats CPA, 5-0, For Berth In DII-AA Semis

Olin Johnson threw a gem on Thursday for McCallie, allowing zero runs and besting Christ Presbyterian Academy by a score of 5-0
  • The Blue Tornado got on the board in the second inning.  McCallie scored one run when Zach Porter singled.
  • The Tornado tallied three runs in the fifth inning.  McCallie’s offense in the inning came from a groundout by Porter and a double by Ralston Welch.
  • CPA one bright spot was a double by Bo Burklow in the second inning.
  • Johnson got the win for McCallie, the pitcher went seven innings, allowing zero runs on five hits and striking out nine.
  • Carter Wallace took the loss for Christ Presbyterian.
    The pitcher lasted six innings, allowing ten hits and five runs while striking out two and walking zero.
  • McCallie saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game.  Hudson Calhoun and Reece Jordan all had multiple hits for the Blue Tornado.  Jordan and Calhoun all had three hits to lead McCallie.
  • Burklow led CPA with two hits in three at bats.
