The Lee University Lady Flames softball team was well represented in the end of the year academic awards from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). Lee placed nine players on the Easton/NFCAAll-America Scholar-Athlete award list and was one of 97 teams recognized for team GPA in division two.
After finishing the 2022 season with a team GPA of 3.339, the Lady Flames ranked 79th among 97 NCAA DII universities. Lee was among six Gulf South Conference schools named to the list.
Additionally, the Lady Flames placed nine players on the Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete list, as Madison Barnett,Taylor De Adder, Victoria Flores.
Rylie Goodridge, Delaney Harris, Caroline Pattison Janina Remley, Madison Richards and Alaina Watson were honored after their excellence in the classroom.
The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories. Team GPAs and scholar-athletes are submitted for the awards by member head coaches.
