Junior League Of Chattanooga Announces Incoming Leadership

Junior League of Chattanooga welcomes its incoming Executive Leaders for the 2022-2023 league year. The leadership, composed of 11 women will serve as the Executive Board for the year. 

President of JLC is Callie Burnette, with Mikaya Knight in the wings as president-elect. A graduate of the University of Alabama – Tuscaloosa, Ms. Burnette is currently employed by CHI Memorial Hospital. Ms. Burnette has been a member of Junior League of Chattanooga since 2012 and served as a member of Junior League of Knoxville from 2017-2020. 

“I am humbled and grateful to serve alongside our terrific membership, Executive Board and community partners during Junior League of Chattanooga's 105th year,” said Ms. Burnette. “Junior League of Chattanooga programming and training has a uniquely significant and widespread impact in Chattanooga, and we look forward to an exciting year."

Founded in 1917, Junior League of Chattanooga, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. JLC is committed to inclusive environments of individuals, organizations and communities, and its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. JLC’s cookbook, Seasoned to Taste, is the official cookbook of the City of Chattanooga.

Junior League of Chattanooga’s A League of Learners initiative fosters lifelong learners in the Chattanooga community. Junior League supports Hamilton County’s schools, teachers, children, and adults through funding for special projects and partnerships with other local organizations to provide an active volunteer base.
