On September 10, 2022, Demetrius Moore passed away peacefully at Chattanooga Hospice Care Center with family and loved ones at his side.

Demetrius was a graduate of the 2006 class of Tyner High School where he received the senior project presentation award for his detailed explanation of “High Blood Pressure -The Silent Killer”.  He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where he sang in the male chorus. He was a regular attendee at the AIM Center of Chattanooga. Demetrius was never able to attend college or work a regular job, but that did not stop him from being an encouragement to people everywhere he met them.  He had a strong faith coupled with his positive mantra (Never giving up and never quitting).

Demetrius spent 17 years as a dialysis patient at the Chattanooga Kidney Center in Chattanooga and Red Bank. He will be missed and remembered by his loving family. We look forward to seeing him at that great getting up morning in heaven.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Elzie G. Cooper Jr.; maternal step-grandfather, Larry Zeigler, Sr.; paternal grandfather, Frederick Moore; paternal grandmother, Linda K Strickland-Moore

He leaves behind to mourn his passing his loving mother, Stephanie Cooper; dedicated father, Fredericko Moore; caring stepmother, Tyceia Stoudermire-Moore; his sisters, Ashley Moore, Amber Moore, Nevaeh Stoudermire, and  Nia Moore; grandmother, Patricia Zeigler; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of life memorial will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2022, in the chapel of John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 423-622-9995.
