Pops was a native of Chattanooga, born on April 7, 1937. He graduated from Red Bank High School and attended UTC. He was a veteran, having served in the US Air Force. Pops was a member of White Oak Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer and fisherman, but most importantly was a loving father and grandfather.
