Alma Johnson, 84, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.

She was a 1955 graduate of Spring City High School. Alma was a vault custodian for Pioneer Bank where she eventually retired. She was also an avid Vols fan. Alma loved plants and flowers, especially irises, gardenias and roses, and considered her garden her “happy place”.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Johnson, and her parents, Charlie and Alta Baker.

Alma is survived by her son, Chuck Johnson; grandchildren, Abigail Johnson, Joseph Johnson, and Kelsey Caldwell (Vernice); brothers, J.R. Baker (Sheila) and Charles Baker; nephews, Johnny Baker (Cindy) and Ronnie Baker (Valerie); nieces, Jo Ann Stafford (Joey) and Jeanette Briggs (Casey), as well as several other nieces and nephews.

There is no visitation or service planned at this time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Chattanooga (https://secure.qgiv.com/for/rmhcogc/) in Alma Johnson’s name.
