Martha Grayson Howard, 87, of Soddy Daisy, passed away at her home on October 4, 2023.

She was born in Signal Mountain, Tn., the youngest of six children. She was only 18 months old when her father passed away. The family moved to Soddy Daisy, where she attended high school. After working several years with Dupont, she pursued a career in the sewing industry as a seamstress. She enjoyed sewing and often made clothes and quilts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wesley Howard, daughter, Peggy Sue "MO" Howard; parents, James Anderson Grayson and Elizabeth Roberts Grayson; brothers and sisters, Louis Grayson, Charles Albert Grayson, Violet Cecile Pickett, Mildred Lucille Miller and James E. Grayson.

She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who she loved dearly.

The family would like to thank her neighbors, Mary Taylor and Charlotte Roper for their support and help through the years and Hearth Hospice for their care and support.

Martha requested no service. Her ashes will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery with her husband.
