Chatter Box Cafe On Shallowford Road Closes

  • Tuesday, November 21, 2023

The Chatter Box Cafe at 6801 Shallowford Road has closed.

There will still be a food truck and catering, it was stated.

Management said in a Facebook post, "After much thought, we have decided to close the Shallowford Road location and focus solely on catering and food truck events. Our location has had a severe roof leak which affected our ability to operate and began to cause mold issues. Unfortunately it’s gone beyond the point of being patched and needs a completely new roof. We stayed with the hopes it would be fixed, but after our landlord made it known he’s not in a place financially to get things properly repaired. I felt  it was time to make the transition.

"We want to say thanks to everyone that has supported us over the years at the location and want you to know you are very much appreciated. As many of you know the food truck and catering is how we started and has always been my passion. Being out in the community at events and being part of helping you guys make special memories doing weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, family reunions ect is so fulfilling.

"In addition to Chatter Box, I’ve taken a position as Food Service Director with America’s Teen Challenge. As some may know, after facing 43 years in prison back in 2006 I was given the opportunity to go through the Teen Challenge program. I’m so excited about how all of this fell into place. To be part of this organization working with young men that come from similar backgrounds as myself and showing them you can overcome your past and create a brighter future, as well as having access to a great commercial kitchen space to grow my business, is such a blessing.

"The best is yet to come!!! Please keep us in mind when looking for a food truck or catering service! We’re still here to serve you the best BBQ possible! Thanks"
