The Friends of Hixson and the Hixson Kiwanis invite the public to come out and help kick off the holiday season at the annual Hixson Community Christmas Tree Lighting event on Saturday at Clear Creek Church of Christ, 5612 Hixson Pike.
The doors will open at 6 p.m. with refreshments in the church’s Community Café, with the Music Program scheduled from 6:30-7:30 p.m. featuring Hixson High School’s Band, Choir and Strings Orchestra. Tennessee State House District 26 Rep. Greg Martin will serve as emcee for the event.
Santa Claus will join Hamilton County Assessor Marty Haynes and Greg Martin to light the community Christmas tree at 7:30 p.m.
Friends of Hixson, Hixson Kiwanis Club and Clear Creek Church of Christ host the annual event.
