Victor was always a hard worker and a successful businessman. Part of his legacy is Calfee's on 64 Highway, a family-owned business of 30+ years, where any member of the community feels welcome. Victor's career began as a young man alongside his father in the family well drilling business. Victor had an entrepreneurial mindset from an early age. This was evident as the business expanded from well drilling in the early 70's, to include a small grocery store and gas station, on Spring Place Road. Over time Calfee's grew to include two larger grocery stores in Bradley County as well as three gas stations, a produce market (The Barn) on 64 highway, retail and residential rental locations, trailer sales and self storage. Victor and his two brothers (Richard and Leroy) served as the leadership team for this family business.

Victor and Wanda met at Tomlinson Memorial School in Cleveland, Tn. and celebrated 60 wonderful years of marriage in 2023. They loved to travel, fish, camp and spend time together with family and friends. He was a charter member and Deacon at Spring Place Church of God of Prophecy where both he and his wife have held many positions of leadership over the years. He was a devoted and loving husband, dependable father, supportive Poppy, steadfast brother and loyal friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all those who had the opportunity to know him.

The celebration of his life is planned for 6pm on Friday December 1 at Spring Place Church of God of Prophecy, 2600 Spring Place Road, Cleveland TN 37323. His family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. prior to the service. Victor will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
