William Lamar Bishop, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2023, at the age of 82.

Born on December 23, 1940, to Carrie and Will Bishop.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Carrie and Will Bishop; and his son, Tim Bishop.

The legacy of his kind spirit and generosity lives on through his beloved wife of 62 years, Alene Bishop, and his sons, Mark, Mike, and Chris (Christy) Bishop. His memory will also be treasured by his adoring grandchildren, Maggie Swafford, Christa (Trent) Hankins, Patty (Shane) Pendergrass, Amanda (Aaron) Edwards, Hunter Bishop, Tanner Bishop, Christien (Eli) Clark, Taya (Blake) Miller, and Zack (Emaly) Bishop, as well as his many great-grandchildren.

For 47 years, William dedicated his professional life to his role as a Parts Manager, where his work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident to all who worked alongside him. William's faith was a cornerstone of his life. As a long-standing member of the Dayton Church of Christ. His faith community will remember him as a man who walked in love and service. An avid fisherman, William found joy and tranquility on the water. His love for fishing was only surpassed by the love he had for his family.

The family will not be holding any public services at this time.
