Kind And Loving Person Who Loved Her Family Deeply

Deborah Lea Davis Johnson passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, peacefully in her home. She was 68.

Debbie was born in Chattanooga. She was one of 11 brothers and sisters, so family was very important to her. She was a kind and loving individual who loved her family deeply, including her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and even her Yorkie she talked about often. She was always present at every birthday party and event, and never forgot to say the words “I love you.”

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, A.J. and Nellie Taylor Davis, sister, Barbara Thomas, and husbands, Jerry Burns and Todd Johnson.

She is survived by her son, Tray Ray Davis, and her grandson, Evan Davis. Her last words to her son and grandson were, “To the world you may be one person; but to one person you may be the world. I love you both so much.”

She is also survived by her brothers, James (Kathleen) Davis, Ronnie Davis, Tommy (Sheila) Davis and Ralph (Cindy) Davis, her sisters, Judy Moncier, Yvonne Merriman, and Doris (John) Price.

Her last words she shared to all of her family and friends was, “If I could give you any gift, I'd give you love and laughter, a peaceful heart, a special dream and joy forever after.”

Aunt Debbie will truly be missed by so many. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

“Angel on Earth, go and sing your Heavenly song.”

Arrangements are by the Cremation Center of Chattanooga, 1345 Hickory Valley Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
