Virginia Hudson Trundle, 96, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 17, 2023.

Mrs. Trundle was born in Chattanooga, on Feb. 2, 1927, the daughter of the late James Robert Hudson and Holla Belle Teat Hudson. Mrs. Trundle was a founding member of East Ridge Baptist Church where she also worked for a time as pastor's secretary and loved singing in a ladies trio and in the choir. She retired from Spring Creek Elementary School as their secretary. She was a member of Ridgedale Baptist Church at the time of her death. She loved reading her Bible, making cards for the homebound, sewing, and gardening.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Trundle was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse I Trundle, Jr.

Survivors include her son, Mark H. Trundle (Kate); daughter, Sandra Cannon (Bob); five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be on Thursday, March 23, at 2 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home with Dr. Doug Plumley officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Thursday from noon until the service hour at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to Barnabas Fund at Ridgedale Baptist Church, www.ridgedalebaptistchurch.org, 1831 Hickory Valley Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
