Danny Ray Green, 80, of Benton, passed away peacefully at his home on March 20, 2023.
He was born on Nov. 15, 1942 in Dallas, NC to the late Lonnie Albert Green and Beulah Inez Lathan.
In addition to his parents, Lonnie A. and Beulah Lathan Green, he was preceded by his son, Joey Shepherd; brothers, Joel Green and Dean Green; and sisters, Colleen Green and Sue Green Smith.
Left to cherish the many memories include his beloved wife, Kathy Brannon Green; sons, Arlen Shepherd, of Texas, and Jamie Green (Janice Perian), of Benton; grandchildren, Emily Vasseur, Gabrielle Shepherd and Lewis Shepherd, of Texas, and Gabriel Green, of Benton; brother, Tom (Linda) Green, of Ooltewah; sisters, Karen (Rick) Hannah, of Dallas, NC, and Diane Bynum, of Lincolnton, NC; honorary grandchildren, Daniel Williams, Emily Rynbrand and Lauren Rynbrand, of Cleveland; and a special friend who he considered to be like a brother, Raymond Mathis, of Morristown, Tn.
No services will be held at this time at Danny’s request. The family will be having a private service.
