CJ Diahate, one of the members of Kingship Chess Academy, will be traveling to Washington DC, along with his teammates from Chattanooga Prep to compete in the scholastic national chess tournament March 29 through April 3.

CJ is one of the first students at Kingship Chess Academy and is an amazing student academically and has beautiful spirit, said Anthony Gladden, founder of Kingship Chess Academy. "CJ embodies the characteristics that every parent should aspire to have their child model."

CJ took a liking to the game of chess back in the second grade.

"He was one of those kids that caught onto the game quick and I saw a great future ahead of CJ in the game of chess," said Mr. Gladden. "CJ has a uncanny ability to think ahead  And strategize to win the game."
