Hixson Farmers Market will have its grand opening celebration Saturday, May 6, from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
The event will include live music, refreshments and shopping with a variety of local vendors.
The market is at St. Alban's Episcopal Church at 7514 Hixson Pike.
The Hixson Farmers Market will be held each Saturday from May to the end of October. On the first Saturday of the month there will be live local music. On the third Saturday of the month there will be a free pancake breakfast.
The market features lots of outdoor space to enjoy and is pet friendly.
St. Alban's is seeking vendors for their Hixson Market. Local farmers, gardeners, and artists are welcome to become a vendor at this weekly market.
