Aslan, a Chattanooga based real estate holdings company, announces that it has secured $23 million in equity funding for development projects within Chattanooga and the Southeast. Aslan Fund II, LP launched in September 2022 with the goal of raising capital to advance mixed-used, urban-infill projects that will benefit the community, bring in new businesses, and create mixed-income, flexible housing opportunities for residents.
“We know there is going to be a lot of opportunity in Chattanooga and the Southeast,” said Tiffanie Robinson, Aslan's managing partner.
“With this fund, we expect to finance nearly $150 million in development projects throughout the region. Our first project is breaking ground in Memphis later this year, with others under contract and in due diligence in Chattanooga and Knoxville.”
Aslan is one of the largest property owners in Downtown Chattanooga and has six partners with extensive experience in the real estate industry. Tiffanie Robinson and Matt McGauley are the managing partners alongside Ted Alling, Allan Davis, Barry Large and Brent Large serving as general partners.
To meet new growth, Aslan has welcomed Alicia King as the marketing manager and Megan Freeman as the relationship manager. These roles will be essential for meeting the needs of its expanding portfolio and assisting in the planning for upcoming projects.
Ms. King joined Aslan in January and has nearly a decade in marketing experience working with small businesses, non-profits, city government, and a regional credit union. As the marketing manager for Aslan, Ms. King will implement strategy and manage the marketing needs for Aslan and its operating companies, SVN | Second Story Real Estate Management, FTC Development, and the Tomorrow Building.
Ms. Freeman started with Aslan in March with over five years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. Ms. Freeman received her Real Estate license in 2020 and has expertise in leasing, sales, tenant relations, and property management. As Aslan’s relationship manager, Ms. Freeman will oversee the Aslan Portfolio’s asset performance and manage investor relations related to the Aslan Fund II.
With this fund and the additional team members, Aslan is set to make investments in Chattanooga and across the Southeast. Its goal being to provide exceptional service to their clients while developing sustainable projects that will leave a meaningful impact on the communities it serves, said officials.
